About Us

Off-road vehicle climbing rocky terrain under clear blue sky.

Who Are We

Hi, I'm Darryl.  I'm a retired businessman, former off-road competitor, and race team owner who has spent a lifetime chasing dust across deserts and mountains. A disabled U.S. Army veteran, I now ride the Southwest and Rocky Mountains with my wife Julia — a retired Powersports dealership manager and lifelong enthusiast of anything on wheels. Together, we call The Glade Run Recreation Area our home trails, a place I've fought for years to keep open and accessible. I helped write New Mexico’s Street-Legal SXS laws, worked with Farmington and San Juan County to expand access, and served as a board member and Recreation Director for the New Mexico Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance, advocating for fair, responsible, and balanced off-road recreation. Off-roading isn’t just a passion for us — it’s a way of life we're committed to protecting and sharing.

Why Are We Here

Our mission is to celebrate and elevate off-road recreation by sharing real trails, real experiences, and real advocacy. We work to increase visibility for responsible off-road access across the Southwest and Rocky Mountains, highlighting the importance of public land stewardship, rider education, and fair, balanced recreation opportunities for all. Through storytelling, trail exploration, and community engagement, we aim to inspire others to ride, explore, and protect the places we love — ensuring that off-road adventure remains accessible for generations to come.

What We Are Doing

We created Mayhem In Motion to share our off-road adventures and the machine that carries us there — “Mayhem,” our 2024 Can-Am Maverick R XRS. Here, we highlight the upgrades, modifications, and gear that keep Mayhem desert-ready, review products we trust on the trail, and deliver honest trail reports from the Southwest and Rocky Mountains. Every ride, every climb, and every dusty sunset is our way of spreading a love for off-roading and the outdoors, inspiring others to explore responsibly and enjoy the freedom of the trail.
